NH tb100 is it a ford?

Looking at a tb100 pretty soon and the pics sure look like the ford powerstar 304 engine. Is this a real ford or a iveco in disguise? Any comments on the Tb series?? The phone pics sure make it look a lot like a ts100 with a slightly different deck... TIA...

Tractor data shows that the TB100 has 5.0 liter engine made by New Holland. Should be 100hp

It was made from 2003-2008, so no, it is not a Ford. Fiat bought the Ford tractor line, including the New Holland brand, around 1989 and the purchase agreement allowed Fiat to use the Ford name on the tractor models until sometime around 1995-1997. Some of the components of the TB100 are probably based on earlier designs that were originally designed for Ford tractors back in the day. In looking at the parts drawings, the rear axles look pretty similar in design to the earlier 5000/7000 series models from the 1965-1975 time frame and all of the intervening models in between.

Sean, It appears to have the ford powerstar 304 ci engine, ford 8/2 trans, ford rearend and hydraulics,, and appears to be english Basidon made????. Yes I realize that its a rebrand, but trying to stay away from the Italian stuff. So thus is this a ford, or an iveco??? I may get to look at it next month. For instance...the ts100 is a ford design ie a 7740 with a sloped hood and fuel tank moved down.. Otherwise many parts shared,, while the ts100a has an iveco engine and many many other parts are changed.... iirc. So one could point out the split between the last of the ford engineering and the fiat agco stuff... If that makes any sense.... Hoping someone out there was more familar with this model as there is seems to be very little about this model and the change over. I mess up and sold a very nice ts100 last month, cab and air. dang it.

I wouldn't be afraid of a TB series. Yes, it's newer than similar models, but still has the Ford style drivetrain. MUCH simpler (electronic wise) tractor than the forty or TS series. One drawback was the steel fuel tanks. Well known to rust inside and create fuel flow issues. There's a fix for that too if need be.

As I said, it appears to be based on earlier Ford designs, but the Ford Tractor Division did not exist when it was made.

I agree with Sean, according to the parts book it's definitely Ford drivetrain, not Fiat/Iveco.

Thanks everyone. Got a look at it... "Hecho en Mexico"...(Quintero?) and looks to be a true legacy ford design.. Instrument panel is a bit different, and it has the "platform with railings" of the newer NH tractors, but a ford heritage through and through. Otherwise a ts100 knockoff. Very nice 4wd with heavy loader.
