This is long and boring but you can dump it at your leisure.....but some of you have had likening problems: I posted on here recently about redoing my hydraulic cylinders on my Ford 3600 since the output seal was leaking fluid all over everything. Then iterating what some on here have said about the USPS on a different subject:
The cylinder: I ordered seals about a week ago from ebay. Things I thought were moving right along, as usual with them, no problems...have bought from them for years and it was a smooth as silk process.....been waiting every day for the parts to arrive to no avail......yesterday I got the notification that they would be out for delivery from my local USPS office and normally that gets the parts in here about an hour after lunch hour...for them.
No parts.....get on the www and do a follow me on the shipping route. As others have said, it goes as far as it can go to the left, then as far as it can go to the right and by crook or nook after a "couple of years....deliberate sarcasm" it mysteriously appears in your mail box.....well not quite that drastic.
The USPS got the parcel from the shipper somewhere up North and it made a few stops for whatever reasons they have for delaying shipments ($$$$$) like a lot of you have posted previously. Finally gets to a near Dallas distribution center and is shipped out to my area code post office. I expected it today.....not so. I pull up the shipping info and it was received at my local PO but the !@#$%^&&*() BIRD BRAIN in my local post office, for who knows the reason, sent it off to a post office in another city about 12 miles distant....this kind of crap never happened before but had many problems with this USPS station along the way with whomever gets the contract to operate my USPS station.....certainly lacking these days.
So upon learning of this, this afternoon I call that distant USPS station and the guy said that had I called this morning, he would still have it but since I called this afternoon, he had already shipped it back to the Dallas central sorting spot........as it stands right now, nobody knows if I will ever receive it or not......I don't have that problem with Amazon shipments since they handle their own shipments without the "support" of the USPS. This isn't the only problem with them (USPS) here, my utility bill payments would sometimes get to the utility, and sometimes late, and sometimes not at all....so I just did the electronic transfer on my utilities and that solves that problem.
This is fun.....no it's not, it's helping me cope with my frustrations....but it gets better.......
My Canon TS2022 or something like that, computer crapped out and upon investigating on the www if I didn't buy Canon ink for my ink jet, a chip in the ink module would tell the printer to shut down.....which it did. So I said fooey on them and bought a HP 2900 series ink jet. They had a lot of initial setup in the new user verbiage and it was a lot of good information......problem is, I don't have a smart phone and will not have one.
So I said phooey on this and pugged a cable (heaven forbid) in to one of the USB jacks on the back of my iMac and thought a cable to the printer would cure the new "high tech" stuff.....well it didn't.....initially......so I get back on the computer looking for reasons why and one unbelievable pice of info said: If you have a problem.....move your USB cable to a different jack on your iMac.......priceless info.....printer is on line ready for yes sir-no sir commands......really improved what was turning out to be a disastrous day.
Hope some of you folks enjoy the fact that you aren't the only ones that get a .........from time to time.
