I saw new prices that ran from $350, to $650. Way too much for a 78yr old man who dont know how long he can keep cutting wood. ill go with a cheap used blade on E bay

Face plant is a good source for used ones.

Thank you, I was thinking it might be something like that. We had one that was run off the belt drive on our Farmall H, just called it a cordwood saw.

Those are surprisingly easy to use, and fast. That one is tractor-mounted and runs off the PTO.

Wife's family used those to cut 2" × 6" × 18" coal mine roof blocks from large tree limbs. They would set them up out on location where they were logging.

Not really sure what saw blade we have on this here buzz saw, but I know it is the original blade still cutting almond wood..
