Mowed 27 acres 2 days ago.
Weather guys had been calling for less than a tenth this morning. I could work with that.
We got an inch.
And rain forecast every day for the next 5 days. Sigh.
There really wasn't much there, and I don't have to have it. And the fields are all pretty and mowed, so there's that.

And I do feel for you guys that are dry. Been there. But still gonna grumble a bit.

Well lucky you. Two days ago they were calling for up to 2 inches here tomorrow, then yesterday they said an inch and a quarter, now they're saying a tenth. That's exactly how it's been all year.

That's tough. Month ago I had some laid for 3 weeks. Every time it got close it would rain another half inch. It was moldy in the windrow. I finally baled it up, took it to the edge of ravine, cut the net wrap and roll them down.

Weather kicked my hay not much. The weather was so nice my first cutting hay was baled early. Some of my best quality grass hay being early but low bale count. Second I would have chopped down but the decided to bale hat was there and yielded 25 bales. Third would be the as the second and I don't think they will bother. Most likely will buy hay another year. Might have to sell some horses that I wanted to keep. I sold two on a monthly payment before picking them up. Three months without payment. I would guess not enough hay for winter. I think I'll give them back what they paid.

That's how it usually goes around here. But for some reason we're getting timely ...or untimely if haying....rain this year

Hey at least where you are is wet enough that you could cut hay. I my area if you did cut hay you best have the Fire Dept on call because it would be easy to start a fire
