An interesting tractor (Case DI)

Some pictures of a tractor I haven't seen any recent pictures of, a 1945 Case DI narrow. I got this tractor about two years ago. It runs well but we have had a tire failure as you can see in the pictures. It is believed to be a military tractor. I thought some of you might be interested to see this tractor because as I said I haven't seen any close up and modern pictures of one of these.

Unusual is right, sure isn't for use in hill country, more like an orchard design.

The spring on the front end is for torsion. If the front end gets on an extreme angle it starts to load up and restrict movement. Even still it wouldn't be difficult to roll.

Few of them around to start with fewer today,, used in warehouse work I assume,, they were made to fit down narrow isles in warehouses ect

Neat tractor in apparently excellent shape! it appears to have a foot clutch in 1945, thats kind of neat too, the PTO on an industrial is different as is what appears to be a lifting mechanism of some sort, it would be interesting to see its history, I wonder if its build card is still available.

The bar along the back is the foot operated brake (right pedal), another unique piece on this tractor.
