We were running some damp, rank oats & wanted to monitor the flow.

Didn't slug the cylinder with that nasty stuff, but did overload & get the feeder apron to stop a couple times.

I’m not so much worried about the people we have operating, but rather the spectators who attend. Typically there are far smarter people in the crowd than those working the machine or exhibit.
With that said, there are those few that have familiarity with the process and we occasionally can glean some good advice.

On spectators attending events, Saturday is the day for sports on the TV and the camera scans the spectators at baseball games........few are paying attention. I wonder why they go to the expense and trouble to go to the game if they aren't interested.......and the stands are packed with them......spectators.

When I was say 13 for a number, daddy took me to a baseball game. I spent 10% of my time looking at the game and 90% gawking around at the spectators. Same as when it was my turn.....kid wanted to go to a game for a birthday present.....same result. Unlike a football game, for the most part it is uneventful repetition.

That was one of the great things about ball games, was getting out to enjoy the crowd as well as the game. Met many friends that way. Many from visiting teams, as I was about the game first & a franchise third.

Getting back to the crowd....

Most of my in-stadium time was at County Stadium in Milwaukee. They used to host Packer games & that crowd was noticeably different than the ball 'n' stick crowd. A lot more drunks causing issues.

Figured they drank out of boredom.
