To my thinking, an 'ear worm' is not just a random oldie. No sir, an ear worm is some dumb song that happens to have a catchy tune or lyrics that, once heard, goes 'round and 'round in your brain until it finally gets overwritten by something else. Here is what I mean...

What you have been doing is, I'm sure, well within the rules of this site, so who am I to say you should stop? If I wanted to take over, I would first have to think posting links to songs is a needed service, which I don't, but hey- back to my previous sentence.

What I did hope to suggest is that calling your posts "Ear Worms" could be severely limiting the number of people clicking on them. Certainly, I have avoided them and will continue to do so, as I do not need anyone else providing material for my brain to torture me when I'm trying to sleep, which is most of the time.

I didn't dig very far back in your posts, but what I did find were some country songs and some songs about church. I think if you changed your thread title(s) to something more closely aligned with the content, you might get a lot more clicks. Not from me, but what do you care?

I see you've been a member since 2009. As such, you should recall that these musical posts titled "ear worms" were started by Steve@Advance. He would post songs sharing a common theme or delve into the backstory of a song or musician. Well beyond my capability. Health issues took over. I filled in as best I could posting songs. As a nod to him, I retained the thread title. So there, now you know the rest of the story.

I agree with the OP, earworm is a misnomer for the tunes that Steve in VA posts daily.

But that's okay, it doesn't make a damn bit of difference in the big picture.

Tales is an off-topic forum. It doesn't have to be about tractors. Tractor TALK, on the other hand, also has many threads that aren't tractor related. The moderator should move those threads to Tales.
