Got the fuel issue fixed on the JD1020 gas. Got new brakes on the JD5303. Even fixed slow leak on lawn tractor. So, of course, the car starts making a bearing noise driving home this morning. Oh well.

Steve, I know how you feel.
All 5 of my tractors are doing fine and Miss V's Jeep overheated last week.
Got it fixed though.

Amazing how a 60 year old tractor can be starting and running flawlessly one minute and just drops dead with no sign of life. Happened twice to me this summer; first was a 51 JD AR, next was a '36 JD A. In both cases it was a carb problem. Oppps, three times. Forgot the remaining failure, '56 JD 420, which is still awaiting re-assembly after a starter failure. Others that are hanging in there are the '58 520 JD and the '50 JD A. Just started the A yesterday to move it in the shed to allow for more room for other equipment. What next???

My 1720 has a dead electrical, I think it’s the ground strap on the battery. I hope that’s all.

The 5200 doesn’t charge, I’m not exactly sure which component is bad - battery is good, I’ve had conflicting results on testing the generator regulator etc need to dig deeper.

Just got the 7700 back, took it to the neighborhood mechanic for bad surging so injector pump…. He cleaned some stuff up and it ran pretty good so guess I should have done better maintinence, see if we get by for a year or two as is.

Got a couple tat are running pretty good. Well….. they were yesterday. Todays a whole new day isn’t it….
