MF-245 Oil blow by...

I've got a MF 245 Diesel. I changed the oil and after there seems to be some oil blow by after high engine revs.
It seems to happen when I've been running the engine then idle down. It seems to come from under the hod by the fuel filler cap.
I put in 6 quarts of 15/40 diesel oil.
Is this common to have blow by after an oil change?

The only other thing I did prior to the oil change was to power wash the engine.

I do not believe the filler cap is where the crankcase is vented. On my 65s with the 203 Perkins the cap is a tight seal.

I'm not saying it is coming from the fuel filler cap, but it is migrating up from someplace under the hood and that's where it comes out. For all I know (I've not investigated it more) it comes down below the hood too.

Once I get the hood off (which was a nnalert to get on as everything isn't square on this tractor from 1980), I'll run the engine and inspect with a flashlight.

Any other thoughts on how to spot oil leaks?

Thanks for all the help. I've said it before and will say it again, this project of mine wouldn't be possible without y'all.
