What Did You Do With Your Green Tractor Today?

Always in a multiplayer game here. Bailey and I worked all day Tuesday on the White 8900 getting ready for soybeans. Father in law wanted to grease oil in the disc for rains coming. Two wheel bearings later everything was put away by 8 pm. Long day!

Tomorrow I'm going to put the bull pinion housing back in. It's been sitting for a couple of weeks. Could not find the 6-1/4 inch O-ring at any parts stores and the three valve service companies I tried. Got it from McMaster-Carr, had to buy a package of ten but they were only $8.40. I'll keep one extra in case I have to do the other side. If anybody needs one shoot me a PM.

Found flat tire on 1650 narrow front. Drove good tire up on piece of 4x6 used cordless impact to remove tire used skid steer forks to break tire down. Used set of tire irons to remove tire found hole in tube from a nail patched tube removed nail from tire replaced tire put tire back on tractor less than 35 minutes start to finish. cost price of patch and glue. took less time then it would of to drive to town and spend 30 bucks to have them repair

On the topic of o-rings, these guys are the best: https://www.theoringstore.com/store/ They've had everything I've ever needed but I would imagine the cost was probably similar, minimum order, etc. I think the last time I ordered I needed a quad rings for a PTO rebuild, and it was so much cheaper than Agco.
Thanks, I'll keep them in mind for next time. I'm within 20 miles of the McM-C warehouse. They have the order ready within three hours and I pick it up at the will call counter. It's also a nice scenic drive most of the way through some Portage County farm country.

That's a great resource having it that close to you.

Borrowed this conversation starter idea from another discussion forum. (Not JD)

Saturday I drove it in my first tractor trot.

Today I had it hooked up to the 4240 plow to make some setup adjustments.
I cut 5 acres of second cut hay with my red 1850 and can happily state the new clutch and replacement engine both worked great. I love using that 3 speed over/under/direct set-up.

I had my Super 55 in my first tractor show last week at the St. Joeseph County Grange Fair and much to my surprise I got 1st place in the Oliver division! I didn't even know there was a contest until one of the other owners told me they saw the judges around my tractor earlier. I guess all those hours with the parts washer and wire wheel was worth it.

"Don't let anyone talk you out of that quick 8 week restoration project, those 9 months will be the best 2 years of your life"
