Anyone Know What This Is? Old Plow Part?

I should have laid a shovel beside to give a better indication of it's size.

It's between 4 and 5 ft. long.

I pulled it with my tractor out of ground and dragged it over to in front of my IHC plow.

Found it buried beneath the soil while removing brush at the spot I have rented to park my old implements.

It does have a notch at the lower front which may help identify what it is.

What kind of material is it? I would sooner guess it's petrified wood, or bone!

May be wrong.
But it appears me to be a spud for an old cable trencher.

???

Must have belonged to Paul Bunyon? :)
When I zoom in on it I see wood grain. All non stainless steel or galvanized metal I have ever pulled out of the ground is a rusty brown.
Wood?? Well then I changed my mind..

Appears to be the rudder off of a Mississippi steam boat.
