How much power through a 1175 before you start breaking things?

I need a back up tractor for my 1570. I really like my 1175 as far as simplicity goes. Good 1570s seem to be hens teeth. I briefly entertained a IH 1566 until I came to my senses... The 1175 needs an engine, she is tired, low compression, hard starting, smoky, but still enjoyable. Broken driveline 2670s seem to be all over the place for scrap iron +tire value. Discuss? Thoughts?

I saw where someone had built a "1575" on youtube.

I and others have seen Stock 1170/1175's running 150-175 new,, zero issues,, I dont see a problem with 200-250 on them as long as you dont tie them to the ground with ballast,, pull the same loads you do know but a gear or two faster is what I have always pushed since 1370's came to our dealership in 1971,, the Great Harvey Frick told us the planetary addition to the 1170 reduce transmission gear load by over 50% ,, but its your call of course,, only issue I could see is the intercooler on the 2670 may not fit under the narrow frame hood,, I almost put a 504BTI I have in a shed in a 970 until I get the original fixed,, but have held off due to clearance and the fact I have a good 451 out of a 1070 I could use lol the 1575 you speak of,, the Family who did that used to be on yt they had several of them if I remember right

This would be for heavy tillage. 11 shank Brillion Disc chisel is the toughest thing I have. Likely 4th gear on the 1175, would need to be weighted and dualled. The 1570 pulls it in 3-1 or 2-3.

with the extra power I would say 5th might be used the higher the gear the less power train stress,, proper weighting is not a issue, correctly balanced weighting front and rear is what I shoot for,, I dont see a problem with that load really I forgot to add but I would use the HD clutch PPA and plate , sure you knew that already though

Maybe lift the outer two shanks, or lift the disk gangs or pull a smaller implement to keep the ground speed adequate for the shanks to shatter the soil ( about 6 mph minimum? ).
