Does anyone have a copy of the Production Log for the John Deere Waterloo tractor factory? Im looking for the production by month in 1929 for the Model D tractor. Trying to narrow down when a tractor was made. It appears the serial number research from the two cylinder club no longer exists. Thank you.

My son just had two tractors researched though the Two cylinder club within the last year! Pretty sure they still do it! If anyone has a production list (I doubt) other than them I'm sure everyone and his brother would know about it by now! A quick google search shows they still do, but at a price of $60!! Ouch!

The Production Log won't help you very much since it doesn't show monthly breakdowns until the 1934 Production Year. It does list on page 1 the total individual annual production quantities of the "D", "GP" & Orchard, and the "GP" Wide-Tread for the 1929 Production Year. Page 2 shows total monthly production numbers for the 1929, 1930, 1931, 1932, and 1933 Production Years, not by model but by total production. There is no breakdown of monthly production numbers for any specific model until page 3 for the 1934 Production Year. After that, monthly breakdowns are shown for every model through the 1971-1972 Production Years. It might be a bit of a gamble, but a49deere's comment above is correct, it does appear Brenda (Two-Cylinder) is still doing Serial Number Researches and it should go reasonably quickly as the model "D" is on their electronic database and does not require a trip to the Archives to research. $60 plus $15 shipping for the obligatory pretty document plus 7% sales tax (for Iowa residents).
