Hydraulic help on Yanmar 2210D !!

Success! Well, mostly. The parts came this afternoon so I assembled the 3 point components again with new seals and gaskets. Let it warm up a bit and everything functioned! Drove it around for a few minutes and then rechecked all of the fluids. The front end loader works perfectly, fast, smooth and powerful again. I plumbed the "T" tank line from the new hydraulic control valve back into the "suction/fluid in" line as the documentation with the new valve told me too. Previously it had been temporarily routed to the fluid fill hole just to eliminate a variable when we were trying to figure this thing out. Retested and everything remained the same as when the "T" line was put directly into the fill hole.

Now onto the last small problem. When the 3 point is raising, it is pretty jerky. It goes up pretty quickly but it is not smooth at all. Maximum lift height is set right as you can lift up the 3 point arms about 1/2" more once the hydraulics have lifted them to the max. You never hear it get up against the pressure relief valve or hear the engine bear down any. I ran it up and down quite a few times in case air was trapped in there somewhere but it didn't seem to improve.

If I can get the 3 point lift smoothed out, I can put this whole ordeal behind me.

Thank you for any suggestions. thebubbleboy

Seems to me it could be one of three things. 1. air in line (not likely), 2. control valve sticking (maybe), 3. lift piston grabbing (I doubt it). All this is just pure conjecture. ;)

I'm actually hoping on the air in the line. I figured that I would just let it sit until morning and see if it resolves. I did put the "T" tank line back to the metal suction line. That was all new 3/4" line full of air plus the 3 point cylinder and control valve starting totally air filled. I'm hoping it just forced all of that air into the hydraulic fluid. I'll post back tomorrow....the end is near. Thanks Winston.

Do you have the ability to inject fluid into the system to push the air out, much like a brake bleeding kit does?

Everything is operating properly. After letting the air settle out of the fluid overnight, the 3 point raises and lowers smoothly. I thought that running it 10-15 minutes and raising and lowering the 3 point and the FEL multiple times would have done the trick but it must just drive tiny air bubbles into the fluid. It just needed more time.

Thanks to everyone here for all of your help and suggestions. It was so hard to get a handle on it since it had so many different issues. One blown lift cylinder, the shaft nuts blown off of the two bucket cylinders, bad hydraulic control valve, worn out rings on the 3 point hydraulic cylinder that occasionally worked and sheared woodruff key on the pump twice, (second time was my fault).

I was so happy that it was working again that I gave it a bath. Beautiful day in Ohio today too. Here are a few pictures of my old 2210D

Thanks again to everyone here, this forum and it's members are a true wealth of knowledge.
