I vote we mount them in the politician’s homes first. No problem then mounting Flock Cameras inside everyone’s home . Worth it to reduce domestic violence and to monitor invalids in case of falls etc.

I'm starting to search for little newer pickup.
My 2013 runs good but is showing more rust than I like
I want a Chevy/GMC 2500, 4X4, gas -STANDARD CAB 8' bed.
Have been looking at several auction sites.
They're like unicorns.
What happened to them. Have looked at a hundred or more online and found only 3 or 4 with a STANDARD CAB and 8' bed
WTH ?
Do all you guys have extended cab trucks?
I would be happy with the plainest Jane, low mile pickup -from a no rust zone.
It has me wondering what people use an extended cab, short bed 3/4 ton for.
Done whining now...
By the way, I've seen a couple in the Washington DC/MD/VA area. How much snow/salt/rust do they get there?
Photo shows a 2018 that I would be happy with.
Says page unavailable, but it's there.I'm starting to search for little newer pickup.

I just wanted to add to this thread because this truck popped up on Facebook...I'm starting to search for little newer pickup.

Tell you what I think, for what it’s worth.P/Us have been the new Merican' 4 door "sedan" for a long time at this point.
You probably need to look for "commercial" P/Us to find what you are looking for.
I bought new 2 door 8' ones thru commercial sales at my last company. Also bought a couple used ones from Fastnal and Enterprise Commercial rentals.
That's my 05 F150. StanMy 2009 Ford F150 ( with currently 60K miles) is about as plain as you can get. Regular cab, crank windows, smaller 4.6 engine, no cruise control. My truck was also owned by Uhaul for the first 10K miles.![]()
I was at the grocery store the other day and a guy was loading his groceries into one of those. Being I am an obnoxious guy I mosey'd over to him and started chatting about his truck and this thread. He explained how long he had been looking and accidentally came across it.I agree, a regular cab with an 8 foot box is rare and what I want also.
Fastenal routinely sells their pickups to the public. Most are Ram 1500 or 2500 with some 4X2 and some 4X4. Many have less than 30000 miles which means the remainder of the factory warranty still applies. Go to their website.I'm starting to search for little newer pickup.

Look again. I just read your post and immediately went to Fastenal's website and found 625 vehicles for sale listing the model, year, mileage and asking price plus location. Took less than a minute.I went to Fastenal.com and saw nothing about pickup trucks.
What link did you click on to get that? I'm on Fastenal right now and I still see nothing about vehicles.Look again. Years ago...like 20 or so, pickups became status symbols. People with trucks like you mention you want are all but obsolete. I haven't seen a plan jane regular cab 8ft' bed truck on dealer lots for several years, buyers of those type trucks are a rare bird these days. I believe you can still order one but most people are impulse buyers and want it 'now' jmtc.I'm starting to search for little newer pickup.

The family mini-van got replaced by short-bed four-doors.Years ago...like 20 or so, pickups became status symbols. People with trucks like you mention you want are all but obsolete. Coming home on a long distance trip and about 200 miles out had to stop at a rest area to catch 40 winks. With a little reworking and some plywood, that space behind the seat would make a reasonable bed.I didn't know if I'd like it, but the longer cab is nice. Mine isn't the full four door, but it has the suicide doors on the back. Like RobCons said, plenty of inside storage. I've got jumper cables, tow strap, ratchet straps, cattle canes, receiver hitches, all kinds of stuff in there out of the weather.
Pyr look identical almost to a English Cream Golden Retriever. And it just makes no sense to me why Alaska has the longest winters and use no Salt or anything. There trucks are in pretty decent shape. My son lives there. Where i live in Iowa they put down corrosive crap before it even hits and sometimes nothing comes anyway. At least a whole seat.
And Mongo the Pyr isn't in there

Mongo...making himself popular by laying on some flowers Amy had planted along my shop. He looks so ashamed![]()

So the truck is a 2016 F150 supercab with a 6.5ft. bed. And a toolbox takes up some of that.
There are times I miss the 8ft bed, but have a couple trailers I can hook to if the length is needed.
Great PyreneesNice pooch. Is that an English Cream Golden Retriever. Awesome dogs.
Same with me...What link did you click on to get that? I'm on Fastenal right now and I still see nothing about vehicles.
Pickup trucks and SUV’s became the go to vehicles in the 70’s and 80’s . If you wanted a rear wheel drive that was not a sports car that sat only two .Years ago...like 20 or so, pickups became status symbols.
