Diesel in an F 40

Looking at a tractor with F 40 tin on it and a diesel engine. I assume a Perkins swapped in. I had an
f 40 until the block cracked and I panicked and sold it. Bad move but anyway what kind of problems am I looking at if I buy it? It runs but has no data plate or S/N on it.

Yes it's a Ferguson F40 but as far as I know they never came from the factory with a diesel. I'm thinking it was swapped in when the gas z134 block cracked. A good 134 block must be like hen's teeth now.
