Burr vs hammer mills

What's the difference in the finished product between a burr mill and a hammer mill. Is a burr mill courser. I have a hammer mill mill so I know how they work and what the grain coming out looks like.

my limited experience with a burr mill grinding corn was that it was similar to a roller mill with less fines than a hammer mill .

A lot less dust and the end product is more consistent than a hammer mill. If you are cracking corn a burr mill or roller mill does a much better job.

Yes, a burr mill, as brand name of, Knoedler or Letz has two burrs that are adjustable, to grind course. Can grind ear corn course for cattle feed. A roller mill is best to crack shell corn, no dust. As you know, a hammer mill has screen with different hole sizes with rotating hammers to grind up grain to fit through the screen holes. Used to grind small grain sizes, as oats, wheat, shell corn, soybeans, even hay?
