what type of anti freeze to use in 4020 that helps protect the sleeves and other components and is there aftermarket brand you would recommend that does as well as Deere brand?

Good old green stuff which is ethylene glycol is plenty good. That being said, what really matters is how often you change it. IIRC the interval is 2,000 hours or two years.

I've found that the anti freeze which the JD dealer sells is competitively priced and has the additives required to protect your cooling system.

Coolgard II from Deere gets another vote. It comes in a 2 and 1/2 gallon jug so that helps keep the price down a bit

Either buy straight and dilute with distilled water or buy premixed

We get enough sand out of the well here there’s a 1/4 inch of rocks collected around the liner flanges in most of mine I take apart
