You guys are the best.

I believe I can figure it out now:
-Install a line from the bottom outlet (where the plug is) going to my loader control valve.
-run a return line from loader valve to transmission near the filter (if my tractor has the hex plug) or into the filter cover
-make sure the loader control valve is for closed center

Does that sound correct?

Yes, that's correct.

If you connect the pressure and return lines to the ports shown in the pictures I posted & the description Jim provided it will work.

In addition to the SCV being configured for closed center operation you'll want to make sure that if it's equipped with an integral pressure relief valve, that the relief valve is set at least 500 PSI higher than your tractor's standby pressure. Standby pressure: 2250 PSI + 500 = 2300 PRV setting OR alternately you can crank the PRV all the way in nullifing it's function and rely solely on the pump control to limit max. pressure.

Ok, I finally got the FEL home and am getting around to getting the brackets mounted and will plumb the control valve according to the info you guys all gave me.

I have located the hex plug (where the RS return would go if equipped with a RS) where I will connect the return from the control valve. I suppose the transmission oil will gush out when I remove the plug so I will be prepared to avoid an oil bath. I was hoping to have the correct size fittings on hand for both the pressure line that comes off the priority valve and the return line going in where the plug is now before I start. What size ORB threads will I need on the fittings to thread into the transmission case and the priority valve?

As long as the oil is returned after the trans hydraulic pump and prior to the oil filter .

Before removing plug on lower LH hyd remove hyd oil filler cap the cover hyd oil filler opening with something to such as sandwich bag held in place with a rubber band in order to create a vacuum to help slow oil coming out of hole in trans case while changing hyd fitting.

It's my understand that the orifice on lower LH side of trans case where rockshaft return line is normally attached on tractors with 3pt that the oil galley leads directly to hyd oil filter circuit very similar to oil routing when utilizing a hyd ported filter cover without the added expense of a ported filter cover.
