Are non stock tractors harder to sell?

I have an H with Schwartz wide front, power steering, live hydraulics etc. Potential buyers tell me they are looking for narrow front end stock tractors. I have owned this tractor about 20 years and all the things I really liked about it nobody seems to want. Has any one on here had that experience?

I went to Red Power Round Up this year and saw only one Farmall H with wide front end and that was on steel wheel. If yours were in Australia, someone would snap it up quickly, because the number of Farmall H tractors with those extras here is just about zero.

Hello John, welcome to YT! What are you asking for it and what is your location? I do think power steering and live hydraulics would be selling points. However, the most common look of a Farmall H is the narrow front model.

It's the sentimental "stereotypical H" part that people want.
Most people are using these as more of a show tractor and not a work tractor, so the originality piece is a big factor, and they want what an original "stereotypical H" is.
If I'd take a shot, I'd guess the buyer you're looking for is a person that doesn't really care about those features, or would really like them because they are working the tractor?

I am in southern Maine, $1400.
If you lived in a hilly area, a wide front stance would be perfect to have. Trikes are a no-no.
Your price is too low if sold out my way.

The only grip I have with a Farmall deals with the tiny fenders. Every time I've used one to work with, I get sprayed or covered in dirt or mud.
The fenders are nearly useless, more of a decoration from what I see and experienced.

Yup , good antique 2 plow competition plowing tractor , easier to hold straight line and looking back to make plowing adjustments . I got a narrow front on mine .
What implements you got to go with it. Got any cultivators for it ?
Just my thoughts , but not many competitive plowers any more so , ain’t much help am it .

I think if someone wanted to use the tractor for work, they would like the wide front... For tractor shows, they would prefer a narrow front.
I think this is because 90% of the tractors back in the day had narrow fronts.

I don't think they live hydraulics and power steering would detract. There were a few companies that sold those back in the day.
