51601 is Wix cross for NH 86546609 which is the filter for your 7700
I run this filter on most all of my Ford tractors

WIX filters are generally considered to be the best.

[Texasmark]

I always ran the Motorcraft FL-1A on my Fords, including my 1988 Ford 150 truck.

The 51601 is bigger in diameter and holds a little more oil plus more filtering media
Generally used on turbo models that pass more oil through the system supplying oil to the turbo and through the oil cooler
I normally buy the filters in bulk off the net and use them on all of my tractors
