4020 fan belt

You need to take the hydraulic pump coupler apart. It is two half bolted together. Open the flywheel timing hole cover, then with bar, turn over engine to line up coupler 9/16 lock nut on coupler from the right side of tractor under generator. Take off nut; turn over engine to get at the other 9/16 nut. Take off nut and take out the 9/16 bolt in coupler. Turn over engine again and take out the other 9 1/6 bolt. Take out the two halves of the pump coupler. Turn over the engine a little to get room to get the belt out. Loosen generator, take belt off bottom pulley, loop belt off fan pulley, belt off generator pulley ,the belt is off?
New belt on its pulleys. put coupler together. The two 9/16 bolts and nuts need to be torqued to 35 foot pounds.

Good time to replace the soft bushings that cushion that coupler. They get old and brittle. And while you're at it, take a good, hard look at the generator and water pump pulleys. There should not be any rounding of the v-groove. They are relatively easy to replace. Crankshaft pulley is another matter...

Jim MN stated incorrect bolt size. I think he was thinking size of wrenches required to R&R bolts & nuts. Correct size bolts that need removed are 3/8 X 2-1/2. Thew 4 bushings that one should replace that spacechem referred are part # R45822. fan belt is part # R71459.
