going to split it next week cause of clutch linkage I suspect broken
local equipment dealer put new clutch in and did not contact youall as directed to rebuild the existing pressure plate
now it broke 2nd time since it was at dealer and my 102 year old father in law is not where i can ask him questions it was his yard mower
and he converted to semi truck tires and alternator etc

I see it has been asked which B? AC, Farmall, or JD? I can guess AC, but you should include that in your description.

Serial number 80555 was the last 1947 serial number for an AC B. so 81957 would be a 1948 built unit. There should be a B in front of the 81957, is the B there? If the 8 is a B, it would make your tractor a 1937.

The adjustable front axle was an option on the B. As for the wheels on front what size are they, wide doesn't mean much. they have likely been changed from OEM over the years, as your description sounds like the rear tires are not stock.

The pan seat was an option or could have been added at a later date.

If the serial number starts with a B, it is a B, at least the transmission is.
