JD 420 or 430

Looking to buy a 420 or 430 . Anything special I should be looking for . I have not found one yet just started looking . Thanks.

I have both for sale. 430 U's W's and a 420 W that was original all fuel, good paint, newer tires starts and runs good. 430 U has reverser and power steering and a CJ code for yellow paint. Or a just plane 430 W with no paint but runs like a sewing machine. 430 U has had a recent overhaul. All are located by Sioux Falls, SD.

For pulling . My grandson is 11 and just started. He has a hard time with a hand clutch when backing up to the sled. 420-430s have a foot clutch . He does fine forward just not looking back his arms are a little short right now. And we can fill more of the day with a light and heavy tractor Thanks.

Either you will likely be happy with if you want it quieter I believe 430 muffler fits on both I wouldn’t have to have a 430. Both should have 3 point.

I’d pick the tricycle version myself but to each his own

Sorry but I put the wrong 420 picture up. This is the one I want to sell. Same story, starts and runs well, has 3 point, rear tires have been changed to better near new ones. The rear wheel weights are off of it for that price. Picture shows power steering but it does not have it. Has the original all fuel parts to it. The remote set up I have would fit on it.
