Paint Color for 4000HD Industrial

Ford called it Buff.
I don't know who makes it.
I mixed my own.
I used Valspar Tractor and Implement Enamel.
I bought a gallon of International Harvester White and a quart of John Deere Yellow and mixed them at a 4 to 1 ratio. Added their hardener.
Mine is a little darker (more yellow) than it should be but I'm not unhappy with it.
If you mixed a ratio of about 4 1/2 to 1 you would be pretty close to original.
Cheapest place to buy Valspar is on Amazon. If you have a prime account it's free shipping.
I've been happy with their paint.
If you want fancier paint maybe someone else here knows.

My tractors are workers and I also mix my own paint.
1 part rustolemn sunburst yellow to 2 parts
rustolemn almond.

Like fordfarming said it depends on the year.

Pre 65 used a buff color
Others have used PPG 81339 mango gold
Its more of a beige tint than the post 65 tractors

Post 65 used a yellower color
Others have used PPG 82520A San Morino Yellow

I think the late 70's is even a different (darker) yellow.

Hello Bob , The paint color is called Buff it is a Pale Yellow not Ivory . It is used from 1960-1965 on the 4 cyl. Industrials and the 1965-1968 3 cyl. tractors , The PPG Paint Code is DCC82831ALT . Thanks Tony
