Question.What is the difference between a 3ring kit and a 4ring kit beside the number of rings? Is one better than the other. This is for my 45 2N.- 'Old 49

Has anyone had any luck just replacing the rings? My 45 2N smokes bad.Someone said all I need is replace the rings.What is your thoughts. Thanks- 'Old 49
