    Shell Rotella T4 rebate

    Anyone else having trouble getting your rebate for Shell oil? Shell said my T4 was not eligible,but it was on the rebate slip obtained from Oschelins.

    Still another battery question

    Bought a new battery for the 3020. The acid level is not up to the "full" line in the cells Is this a concern? I would not think it prudent to add water to a new battery. Should I get some acid and fill properly?

    Trouble with this site?

    Anyone else having trouble with this site after their problems a week or so ago? I can get to the main page, then to the forum okay, but when looking at an individual group of threads it is S L O W as all heck. Two computers are doing it.

    Old Threshers at MT Pleasant, Iowa

    As of about noon today there were 858 tractors ( to include about 100 lawn tractors) and lots of demonstrations going on. Had to be nearly a 1000 small engines. Maybe 50 steam engines. Also demonstrations with teams of horses. NICE show.

    420 hydraulic problem below

    Looking at the TM for a 300 LGT, I think the 420 is similar, the charge pump draws oil from the bottom of the differential housing and up thru the filter before it gets to the pump.     Rear hub loose on axle, even at 450 ft-lb torque. Removed wheel and hub. Hub had "shims" from previous owner. New hub outer edge is 1/8" from start of splines of axle when just lightly hammer installed. Will the new hub tighten up or do I need a new axle? What is this dimension of a new...
