    Where is that sound coming from?

    I have a question for John Deere 2 cylinder owners. When the clutch is released, I hear a sound like a running dry bearing. Is that what i am hearing? Also the noise is not there when the clutch is engaged. Any help would be appreicated. Thanks Tim

    730 12 Volt starter

    Has anyone used a 12 volt truck starter in place of the orginal 24 volt starter on 730 Diesel. With the compression release, I believe it would work, with a 12 volt generator or alt. Thank you for your help . Tim.

    will this work

    I am having trouble keeping the 730 in 4th gear, so got a good shaft and 4th gear. but on the bench test it seem it would come out of gear easy, so I went to ACE hardware and bought a 3 dollar spring , installed it and it seem to be the ticket to success. I am curious if any body tryed...
