overfilled & not overjoyed
Add me to the list of victims of an overfilled trans/hydraulic sump. I just drained an extra 3+ gallons of fluid out through the bottom bolt of the left side cover of a new to me '49 8N. "Hybrid" electrical system?
My new-to-me '49 8N (226847) has a strange electrical system configuration. The PO only had the tractor for a year and sold it because his wife wouldn't drive it (to mow a few acres of weeds). Hi All, I bought a working '49 8N a few weeks ago and am starting to make a few repairs. Is the steering wheel pictured below worth saving? I can repair the cracked cover with epoxy filler but the area that is completely missing would be a challenge to build up from nothing...- ncoonen
