    Allen wrench size to remove double spool valve from top plat

    1964 MF85. I need to remove the double spool valve from the top plate. A 3/8" Allen wrench is too big and a 5/16" is too small. Searching for a size in between is not yielding much. Is there a special size needed? I have cleaned the grease and dirt from the socket head cap screw. Thank...
