    I'm trying to replace the front transmission input shaft seal on MF35 with 2 stage clutch...but I'm having no luck removing the casting that I believe holds the seal. It comes away from the bell housing about a 1/4 inch and then seem to be stuck on the (outer) larger of the 2 splined drive...

    I have just split my MF35 4 cyl diesel to do a comlpete engine overhaul. While it is slit I was wondering if I should replace the clutch thrust bearing. Can someone tell me is there a test to tell if it needs replacing, or is it recommended to do it anyway while the tractor is slit. Some advice...
