    Found the leak on the 4020 fuel tank.

    The tank had a hole in it and I thought it was the drain valve the whole time. Keep in mind the whole bottom of this tank was covered in 50 year old grime before I wiped it clean and saw the hole. :shock: [/img]

    4020 fuel drain leak ?

    My 4020 was leaking at the fuel tank drain valve, so I replaced the drain valve with a new one from deere. It still leaks, seems to be leaking down the threads. I've tried some pipe thread tape but it still has a steady leak. Anyone else run into this? I'd hate to have to take that tank out...

    Ford 8340 ?????

    Going to look at a 8340 with cab for sale. It has the 16spd trans and the owner says the tractor will not go into reverse or neutral. The owner thinks that the synchronizers are worn out. If I had to split it and replace the synchro's, what's a good estimate for this type of repair?

    New winch

    Got my new NT winch installed. It's rated for 12,000lbs and it pulled my 4020 with loader onto the trailer with no problems. It has also has the wireless remote so I can stay outa the way. :lol:

    Keeping the 4020 busy

    Making a little extra money with the 4020 and boom mower. Heat index of 105 in the east and the 4020 ran just fine. I can tell the hyd are getting a little weak after running 8 hours in the heat or it could be me. :shock:

    Removed the wheel on my 4020 to install some inside wheel weights and had no problem with wheel wedges on the removal.     Looking at a JD 6300 2wd with quad range trans for sale. The tractor will only move if you press the diff lock. Anyone run into this on a 6300 or have any ideas? :lol:

    Bolt on dual hub removal

    I just bought a tractor that has dual wheel hubs. I tried to remove the hubs by removing all the hub bolts and backing off the sleeve(sp) bolts. Sucker won't move. Used some heavy hammer action in a circular fashion on the hub but it's seems stuck. I hope the wedges aren't rusted to the hub...

    How much value does a 4430 front axle add to a 4020 ps when selling? I have one on our 65 model and didn't know if I should put a original 4020 axle back in or leave it be. P.S. I bought a MFWD 4455 (real nice) last week and running out of storage room, so the 4020 has to go.

    Does the hood on a JD 7600 hinge back or do you have to take it off like on the 55 series? If it hinges back like a car hood, wheres the hood release? I have a sell coming up,you can't see nothing with hood on there. :lol:
