    long fiat ?

I've been hunting for a definite answer, but can't find one. Can anyone confirm the relation between a Fiat 450 and a Long 445? They appear to be very similar even though they came from opposite sides of the old stone wall.

Further comment on tractor collecting's future

The other week a Little Giant went on the auction block. THAT"S RARE!! Ironicly it brought significantly less than the last one did some decades ago. Everyone is entitled to their opinion and unfortunately we can't fix ignorance. I'm guilty of that myself.

    AC Vinegar......

Grandma's summer drink. I recon when they didn't have lemons available they would make a picther of ice water spiked with a good dose of vinegar. Grandma was a nice lady, but some of things were tough to understnd as a kid. It must have helped 'cuz she lived to 101!

    History's Harvest

I know it posted here last week on History channel's "Harvest", but did you catch this weeks? Whoever produces that drivel should have to clean the pig pen with a three tine fork. While I can't fault the people the show is about I only hope they are not proud of History's end result. I thought...

    Racine Wisconsin

Got to go to a race in Milwaukee as a kid and what I remember is the rolling Wisconsin hills dotted with dairy cows. It semmed perfect as it was to hilly to harvest but perfect for pasture land. In '02 I worked in Wallwoth Co. and the black and whites are pretty much gone. I don't know where...

    Things remembered

I"m curious to know why with all the modern conveniences, microwave, dishwasher, e-mail, overnight delivery,.... we still don,t have extra time. My biggest peeve is why as a kid MA & PA trusted us to go out on our own with dangerous equipment, but the wife won"t let me get away with out the $%#@...

    David Brown 4600

We're a lonely few. Have a '68 with an Albion loader frame. While I've been told that those parts are at a CNH dealer, I've not had to hunt for carb parts. Did a quick snoop through the electic thingy and came up with Farmers Service Inc. and Paltech. Both out of Ohio. I cant help to think that...

    Any Husqvarna users?

Had one that had those same symptoms . It was borrowed to a friend and lost compression when the piston formed a new port to exhaust through the crank case. Lesson learned! Have the 65 Dad bought new. Wish I could see the pile of wood that cut in 36 years.

    500s

J Walker is searching for 500 info and in my attempt to help I stumbled onto a story in farm collector magzine from May of this year that stated there are only 30 left. I know the production run was small at around 1700 and the eastern states have the greatest saturation, but I feel that...

    Oliver 500 tractor motor

Try a post over on the DB Case page. I'm not well versed in that vintage DB. We did have a fair amount of the later series around central MN and the people I've talked to have good things to say. I do know that parts are available state side through CNH. The European parts supplier Sparex is...
