    PojwerTrol Pump Seal

    Putting together a pump from a 50 JD. The seal between the drive gear and the pump gears was in with the lip facing towards the drive gear. Don"t seem right since there would be all the oil and maybe pressure on the pump gear side. What is the right way? IT manual don"t say anything about it...

    Its a single dry drive clutch. Fordson Major with a 3 speed trans with a high and low shift. I"m not positive on the year. I was told by the previous owner it was early 60"s.
