    Forum Members, A person gave me a mag for an N tractor. It has all the parts and driver. It is a Fairbanks-Morris FMJ.Checked the points and they looked slightly oxidized and other wise in good shape.Not sure how powerful the mag is because the magnetic rotor is not too strong.     I need to replace the light switch on my Super A. I have changed over to a magneto, 12volt system and alternator. The switch I'm replacing is 6 volt 4 position. I will replace with a 12 volt but should it be a 3 or 4 position switch? Can someone explain the differance between the 3 & 4 position...

    I'm in need of a left hand final drive housing for my Super A. Casting number is 6827DB. Can anyone suggest where I can locate one and about what it may cost? I have done the e-bay search with no results.

    Would like to know if the transmission for an A is the same as a Super A. Are the gear ratios and bearings the same? Also same question about a B transmission.

    I do not know. I'm going to start taking it apart to see where my issues are. Acording to the parts manual ther is approx. 12 bearings. I have already replace 2 bearings on the left drive. The bearings were very bad. I suspect that this may be the problem with most of the bearings.I'm hoping...

    I'm restoring my Super A. The transmission is really noisy especially in 4th gear. All fluid levels are where they need to be. Is this normal or could this be a problem and what it could be? The other gears have some noise but not too bad. I'm a decent shade tree machanic so I would like to know...

    Gasket set

    I'm in the process of rebuilding a Super A engine. The gasket set has 2 seals that I can not figure out where they go. The first one is a small oil seal 7/8" OD & 1/2" ID. The second is a round felt seal 3/4" OD & 3/8" ID. Can some one tell me where the two seals are to be placed? Thanks!

    Super A pistons

    I'm rebuilding my 1949 superA S/N271902. It is a 3" bore with flat top pistons. The kit I want to use is 3 1/8" with higher compression stepped head pistons. Will this work or will I need to stay with the flat top pistons.
