Daughter Learned Somthing New This Week

I buy used tires all the time for my small wagons and implements and sometimes my vehicles and my credit rating is fine.

    Who Farms w-1 Tractor Only????

I did for a while about 25 years ago. I farmed 160 acres with a JD 2130 and a Cockshutt 30, which couldn't pull anything because it had oil on the clutch, so it sat. The first 8 years I didn't even have a loader, I fed with the three point hitch. Now the Cockshutt is gone, the D14 I replaced it...

    Combine In March

T670 is a Walker model. That's what people buy here, rotaries are not popular here at all. A walker combine can keep going when the crop gets tough better than a rotary, at least that's what I've been told. My old 4400 plugs up when it gets tough anyway.

Question for RRLund and other White guys

I went back about 4pm when it was about 40 degrees. After the second time on the heater it fired up reluctantly. After letting it warm up, I hitched on to my "new" plow and brought it home.

Question for RRLund and other White guys

It took me a while to figure out what you meant! I guess I should say guys with experience with White tractors!

Question for RRLund and other White guys

My "new" White 2-105 is at the trucker's yard. It's not plugged in and it was -5 F last night, up to 22 at 11 am. I tried to start it but it was not turning anywhere near fast enough. How warm will it need to be so I can start it without ether, or what temp will it start with a shot of ether...

Figure I might as well take the snow blower off.

Mine has been off for a month because I wanted to haul firewood out of the bush and we haven't had any amount of snow since. I'm sending the cab tractor to the shop next week, that will make it snow for sure!

    I listened to you guys

Does that mean that the red stripe panel is not original? I think I will be happy even if it is a 74. it only has about 5400 hours. Thanks for telling me how to fix the throttle.

    I listened to you guys

I posted a while back about looking at cheap 100 hp tractors, namely a White 2-105 and a Case 970. After thinking about it I made the 8 hour drive and looked at the White first. The paint isn't as nice as it looks in the picture, but it has brand new radial 18.4x38's on it, new tie rods and a...

    Looking at tractors

Thanks, guys. I will look at the Case first only because it's close to home, and If I don't like it or it's powershift I will go see the White, which is an 8 hour drive from me. Is it true I can't get powershift parts for the Case anymore and that they wear out quickly?

    Looking at tractors

I would like some advice. I want a bigger tractor for tillage and hauling wagons on the road, and my budget is limited to about $12000, but preferably less. I need 85-100 HP. I am looking at a Case 970, haven't found out if it's powershift or mechanical, Massey 2675 with 24 speed, for $12900...

    Visit to Hospital

80% of people recover completely, the other 20% have some effects for the rest of their lives. My mom had it when I was a kid and she recovered completely. Our son had it when he was 10 14 years ago. His face still shows a little when he is tired. The family sees it but other people don't. Keep...

The Russians are at it again

One day when someone called me from my own number I picked it up and started screaming at whoever it was before they said anything. They hung up and haven't called back. It was fun.

Wanting to sell about 20 tractors in Canada, but how?

Agdealer.com works well in Ontario. They have listings for all provinces. An online auction might be an idea as well, provided you have good internet up there.

    Chisel plow

I'm pulling a 7 shank with 12 inch sweeps about 9 inches deep in a clay loam mix with a JD 2550, but reading the other replies on here, I'm guessing it's been turned up a bit. I can travel anywhere from 4 to 5.5 mph.

    First day with hearing aids

I agree with people who say to get hearing aids you can control the sound on. Most techs think we want to hear like a teenager, but we just want to hear better than we do. The way I tell them is "Nothing goes in my head that I can't control". I've had them for 20 years and I'm to the point now...

Looking for a little bigger truck..

I drove a wee fart like that in a lumber yard and it was as gutless as a stepped on mouse. One patio door tied to the headboard would hold it down to 55 mph or if somebody sneezed your direction the headwind would just about kill it. It's only redeeming factor was it was cute. It was also hard...

High tensile fence questions - goats

If your fence will hold water, it should hold goats. They get out. I have a fence like yours powered with a Gallager 1500 and sheep must be well fed and dumb to stay in, and sheep are easier to keep in than goats. Sheep mostly stay in if you have at least 2500 volts on your fence, more is better.

    4400JD

I opened it up and looked in this morning. The concave has dropped down only on the left side and is sitting on the straw walkers. It looks like it could be pried back up into position and bolted back together. However, we couldn't budge it even with a six foot bar. Anyone have any ideas what...
