    I subscrib to a tool site and Cman has moved almost all its handtools to other than US made countries for a good while now, as have many US tool companies. I'm getting my tool cabnet filled with US made before they no longer exist.

    I think that the main tire companies/stores will not work on older tires because of liabilaty issues, mostly which pertain to passanger tires, but they just do an across the board rule.     Engine Stand/Engine Hoist; 9N front wheels

    Check around for used engine stands & hoist. Get a 4 point engine stand [not a 3 point], used $35, the top of a 55gal barrel acctually works better. A good used hoist will be under $100.

    Rear rims ID

    The rear rims, hat rims, were the original type. Rt side distributor is a indicator of maybe pre '50-51 [not an expert here]. Cast numbers behind starter on bell housing will help. Cast #on trumpets will help id it.

    If you have a back blade that will rotate 180 degrees, the holes in the back of the rotate plate will accept a hitch ball too.

    Hydraulic lift lever Quadrant

    Thx Dunk, put the hot air gun on it for a while, did the hammer routine, found my small 2jaw puller and she broke loose. Appreciate the feedback. Was hopin' not to spend the $ on the lever collar. Now I'll spend it on a used quadrant.

    I need to change out the quadrant on my '52 8n and need to know if there's an easy way to remove the lever plate[pt#2N516B per Fig205 in manual] Mine's frozen on the shaft. I've got it soaking with penetrant, Don't want to get too agressive with the aluminum and bust it. Any help appreciated.
