    Thanks for all of the replys guys. I'm picking it up today. All I know about it so far is that it's stuck and supposedly has a bad head gasket. I'll put some pictures up later.

    GM flywheel removal

    What's the best way to get the bolts out in the flywheel. I don't have the John Deere flywheel wrench like the manual calls for. And what's the appropriate way to retourque them once its reinstalled? Being its on a bad angle. Thanks in advance for the help!!!

    Jim, I'm assuming that you had the motor completely tore down. When I rebuilt mine the distributor was 180 out which is driven off of the oil pump. You may have to drop the pan and reinstall the pump in the right position to get your timing right on the distributor. I'm just taking a stab at...

    Engine bored .125 out, aluminum pistons, Jerrys head and manifold, 180 psi on each cylinder.

    B&D in first it'll spin out from #5500 to #7500. In second it runs out of power in #6500 and spins out in #5500. I'm running 16.9x38 Firestone F&R almost new(95% tread). I'm trying to find a set of top cuts or road worn to try out to see if that will make a difference. I'm running about 8-10...
