    F3 power question

    have gleaner F3 turbo 4 cyl of course. at times we loose rpms, wide open sometimes it runs 100 t0 200 rpm slower than other times. also when under a load as heavy tough soybeans , it pulls down to maybe 2150 rpm. lines , bowl , filter and screen are clean, could the governor be going bad...

    F3 power loss

    it was the turbo, I kinda figured that but was sure. had an almost new one in the barn w/ various other engine parts. changed them out , all should be ok , going to try this afternoon.

    F3 no power , just smoke

    started up today to shell corn , under load , would not hold rpm,s and just smoke , tons of black smoke. did the turbo quit or did it the governor in the injection pump? the turbo turns , took intake hose off. how do you tell if it is a bad turbo? also changed air and fuel filters , nothing...

    turbo swap

    will the turbo and manifold from a Ford 9700 switch over to a FORD TW-5? The 5 needs a bit more hp and the 9700 is pretty much used up with lots of hours. can this been done without much reworking or trouble?
