    Noisy 861 - solved?

    Hi, All, A while ago I posted about my 861 that I thought was noisy. I included a video. There were varying opinions. I ran it for about 4 hours yesterday and then adjusted the tappets. They all seemed close but I redid it anyway. It is WAY quieter now. thanks Bill

    Injector pump

    I have a '63 4000 diesel. I pulled the injector pump off, to clean the outside, and the block behind it, for painting. I noticed that there is a shim under the pump. It's about .030 thick, and it looks home made. Is there suppose to be a shim under it? I can't find one in the Ford parts book...
