    If you look at the left side there is a oval hole in the frame rail. Remove the cover from the rail if it is there. Remove both bearings from either end of the auger.     Also check that the sentry module is installed in the tractor. Look in steering column between feet. Should be a box with relays in it and hopefully not a test harness.

    That is a normal serial number. You would have to drain the hy-tran and remove a cover from the side of speed housing to see clutch packs and shaft. $16,000 what shape is it in otherwise? The photo attached is he true blue IH updates. It has key ways cut in it.
