550 steering wheel play and wheel wobble when driving.
Hi guys, first tractor not sure how the power steering works. 60ish Cockshutt 550 diesel with a wide front end. When I am parked I can turn the steering wheel 1/2 turn without the wheels turning. Seems like a bit too much slop. I only Drove it once so far, bought it a mile down the road and...- MetalMasters

All right everyone, I'm running a 3 bottom plow and 6' disc. Would like a little more weight on the front end ... steering gets a little light at times. :shock: :shock: What do I need to be looking for to make this happen? Thanks -

I know they are different. I plugged the return fitting. Had to remove the filter screen from the gas valve in order to install it due to the large threaded fitting in the tank. With the fuel feed problem I'm thinking may need to run the fuel line off the plugged return fitting and not use... -

Gas tank on my 860 sprung a leak so purchased a replacement. The new tank is set up for diesel and I am told that they are only making general purpose tanks now that can be used for both? Can anyone confirm this? The tank does fit the mounts, however has less capacity than the old... -

Clevis Pin replaced. Used a 1/4" grade 8 bolt cut to size. Also replaced another badly worn pin in the Draft Control Connecting Link. Those two repairs brought the system back into specs so I could do the adjustments. Just need to reinstall the lift cover and check operation. -

Haven't taken anything apart yet, but after a closer inspection I discovered the Clevis Pin in the Hydraulic Lift Hand Control Lever Assy is worn approx half way through. This is the pin which the Hydraulic Lift Ram Arm rides against. Seems that this could put linkage way out of tolerance... -

Haven't pulled apart yet, but put my 6' scrape blade behind it and played around some. Every now and then the arms will come all the way up as they should so perhaps there is a valve sticking. I take it that the pin to replace is the one which contacts the "Drawbar Control Cam Plate"? I...
