    finally torn into it.

    5000 ford i bought 5 yrs ago. I have used it as a light duty loader tractor because it pumps oil out the exhaust. Pulled it into the shop and found out why. Apparently someone thought standard rings would be fine in a .030 oversize bore. It ran good other than it killed all the skeeters. Its fun.

    Its alive. It only took 8 months, new sleeves and pistons and a valve job. it sat for years in a fence row. All the clutches are working and the pony fires right up. Now where's the new pond gonna go.

    It starts runs a few seconds with heavy black smoke and dies. Got any suggestions. fixed some air leaks, replaced primer pump plunger. Haven't messed with it much otherwise

    It almost runs. Its had water in it for over a week with no leaks. I am going to try to get the oils up and see what happens this weekend.
