    PB blaster geniuses...

I think that's probably just a safety feature, too much PB and the rusty part may slide off and land on your toe!

Need schooling on Super C fast hitch

The SC with a FastHitch and a 3pt. adapter is a great little system. There is some variation in the width of the bottom pins on different Dearborn/Ferguson implements so the adapter needs to be designed to accommodate the difference. Considering the availability of small 3pt. implements and the...

AERO oil filter - what to pack it with?

Why? Because a salesman probably talked the owner into it. I would be pretty tempted to put a stock filter back on. I have got a couple NOS Aero filters but they don't have the elements.

    LP setup for Farmall 113/123/135

I really don't know about the nozzle, never had it out, it is threaded right in where the main jet was, the "read" line is right behind the choke plate. Don't hold your breath, I will try to get a pic of the carb.

    Portable Generator Fuel Question

LP is the only way to go! We got a wild ice storm a few years ago, poles down for miles and I'm at the end of the line. Ran my 9hp Briggs gen. for maybe three days on gasoline and then converted to lp, set a 500 gal. tank beside the garage and ran it for the next 20 days, only shutting down the...

    LP setup for Farmall 113/123/135

My C has been on lp since about '55. Real basic system like you describe, no heat, I have never seen any official kit for one. I still have our 8N too, it went to lp about the same time as the C, same set-up.

Tonights feature by Ed Will,,gardening tips

Yeah, I bet you are sorry! You might want to get in touch with some of the major universitys that have horticulture programs, I bet they would be happy to hear this. They must have gotten all their information from a coffee shop or dive bar or something, and I'm sure you have done decades worth...

Tonights feature by Ed Will,,gardening tips

Salt on asparagus is an old wives tale, it will eventually kill the asparagus and everything around it. People think it's the thing to do 'cause it keeps the weeds down, fact is it just takes a little longer to kill the asparagus.

    Hey old.. M started! Yippee!!

Come on man, where did you learn how to check your timing curve or your mechanical advance or your total advance, on some secret submarine E.T. training mission that only you were selected for? Thirty years of calling yourself a mechanic and you haven't used a timing light? It seems like most of...

    Stover k 1 1/2 hp

What he is describing is normal for an engine with a load on it like a cement mixer, unloaded it should recover it's speed with one hit.

    Majestic engines

Price depends on several things, the right cart, cracks and welds, parts missing, original paint, and size of the engine will play a huge part in the size of the price. The cart could be worth 2-3 hundred dollars, and a nice repaint will often bring less than an original, but the size is the big...

    Stover k 1 1/2 hp

Well, how about the ignition timing? There has to be something making it hit a little weak. As far as governor tech. goes, springs give fuel and weights take it away. The older Stovers were red or green, I have seen several newer ones like yours that were green or dark blue, so I really don't know.

    Stover k 1 1/2 hp

If you tighten the springs up it will run faster, so unless it is a little weak and it's running REALLY slow, I doubt if that's your problem. Your fuel mixture could be off a little one way or another, did you fool with it some when it's running to see if it clears up? Decent compression? Make...

Beard, It's a tool if you are going to be a Santa Clause

Yeah, conditioner and brushing. A close friend is a Santa Claus model and he has the look down all year. He gets to bitchin' about all the "fake beard Santas" and we have to remind him that he's not the REAL Santa every now and then. If you are going to do it much, get ready for long hours...

    Electrolysis

I've been doing it for quite a while now, never used a battery. If it develops some kind of problem it will trip the circuit breaker in the charger.

    Hit and Miss

The FM model Z is probably from the mid-forties, it is throttle governed not hit and miss, and it was probably part of a generator set or pumping outfit. The Sattley is a bit older but I don't have a lot of info on it, any chance you have a couple more pics?
