    Massey 555 steering box leak

    There are five square shims in behind the square flange where the shaft enters the box. The shims are split on one side. Had it apart awhile ago to replace the seal. Put it together with nothing but the shims. Just noticed that the joint is leaking. Wondering how best to fix it. John

    Massey 555 This was the bushing that was pressed into the steering support assembly. It's wore oblong and should be replaced. It has a slight coppery sheen to it. Is this bronze? The parts book doesn't give that information. Thanks John
