    Never had to use either only on cold days one push usually did it .but now have to give it a few extras .this is how the tractor needs to start caterpiller guy .just trying to get ideas .PS thanks for none caterpillar boy .

    Yes black smoke will hit several times like it is going to start but I usually have to push the either button a lot even in warm weather

    I have cleaned fuel system blown out all lines replaced both fuel filters taken tank off tank has been lined and is rust free .I suspect the tractor has a lot of hours ran great until float bowl broke now it is a hard starting any ideas ?

    Hi have a international 2500 series industrial with 3 cycle diesel .I am having a hard time starting tractor using a lot of starting fluid once it starts runs great but occasionally misses out but returns back to running good .my question is how do I check injectors to see if they are working...

    Well got it to stop leaking thanks everyone .but believe the fuel pump / injector pump is not pushing fuel got all the bolts and fittings off but can not get the dawn thing out anyone ever taken one of these out ?

    Having hard time keeping the sedemante bowl under my fuel filter from leaking .look like the rubber gasket was not designed to fit in the glass bowl this is on a ih 2400 are there any tricks and advise would be helpful

    just looked at a ih industrial tractor has a bucket with a 4 cycl disel and 6 speed tranny 3 low ,3 high how can i find out what model and what year this was made the tractor is yellow and the engine cover is white .i can find no markings on this tractor .i was told it was a 70s or early 80...
