    71fordf100's MM 570 Customatic

In January I recived a text from 71fordf100. He wanted to know if I would help bring a Minneapolis Moline 570 Customatic combine from the west slope of Colorado across the divide to his home in Wyoming. OH YEAH ... I was ready for this adventure. Several years ago he bought an MM corn sheller in...

Made the 1256 mile run thru Wyoming and into Colorado to help 71fordf100 bring his Minneapolis Moline 570 Customatic home this past weekend. We had some extra help, Delta Red (Steve) and his lovely wife Susan came along to help. They spent most of their day helping load. This guy knows how to...

    Take a picture now.

This old picture was found recently. Not sure what year it was taken but a few of the farmers are from Vernon township where I live. It was either a Corn Husking competition or a group of farmers gathered to help pick corn for an ill farmer. One of my neighbors decided to get the area farmers...

    Renee Kansas Wheat Harvest.

My father has been told his time is short so there has been a lot of reminiscing around here lately; mostly about farming. I know this story has been told on this page before but it is a favorite around here. When my youngest daughter Renee turned 15 she decided it was time for her to drive...

    Bill Burrell

I bought a 1949 Minneapolis Moline ZAN from Bill yesterday. He was straight up honest about the tractor. He has one tractor left to sell, an IHC "H". He is in a little town called Diggins Mo. just east of Springfield. If you see it for sale on ytmag or CL and are looking for one he will tell you...

    OT/ KO Feature member.

My father has gone through life quietly, working hard trying to make a decent living. He is this year’s 2014 K&O Steam & Gas Engine clubs feature member. He was embarrassed when the reporter writing this article asked him how many awards and honors he had received. He answered; none. My father...

    Thoughts Comments.

I have been thinking about a few things lately. As for 1923 Gleaner’s comment about the “stuff” I have around here. I am kinda proud of it. From time to time people stop in and tell me they drive by every so often to see what I have added. I know how it is; I do the same thing myself. One of the...

    The other 10 %

In Feb. 2012 I posted that I was 90 % sure I would own this combine. Over the next 2 ½ years I overcame many obstacles. I am unsure of the time or money I spent on this and it doesn’t matter. In that time I have become friends with the owner’s family, friends and neighbors. Several of them have...

I have made the painful decision to sell my memorabilia collection. It is mostly Minneapolis Moline but there is a little of everything. For the IHC collectors - Look through the listing. I have 4 dealer sales manuals from the late 50's and early 60's. These are very nice and showed everything...

    Speaking of Hillsides.

Years ago I had the sales literature on a Harris Combine. I traded it for some other literature. Harris combines were made in California. I didn't know until recently there is a difference between sidehill and hillside combines.

    JD 95 Hillside

I am cleaning out an old computer and came across some combine pictures I have saved. Cutting wheat on the hillsides in the Palouse Washington area is on my bucket list. I would love to own a Hillside machine; what a great toy it would be.
