    Way OT - Cursive Writing

Beautiful writing! Everyone should still learn to write and read cursive. Maybe when they are a bit older than 7 or 8 years as then they will have better fine motor control. Why learn? So they can read historical documents, if only family letters and diaries. My mother wrote beautifully...

Larry, that mushroom compost is going to be amazing given what I have read and heard. And no weed seeds to boot. Your gardens as always are an inspiration. Garden on! You can never have too much compost. Enjoy! Lyla

    Lorren the ACG

This is sad news. I was just thinking about him a few days ago wondering how he was doing. His posts were some of the ones I enjoyed the most. Perhaps because of his interests and locale, I felt a connection to him without ever meeting him. He was a talented man and has been missed and will...

I see a stick or two of ash limb wood but the closeup seems to be of a cherry or perhaps a sweet birch.

Something my dad said 30 years ago

Just tonight I thought of something I wanted to tell/discuss with my dad - thought he’d find interesting. He’s be dead nearly 8 years. I think of him (and my mom) every day. 2underage, you probably also went to school with my uncle, George Gallup or his sister (my mother), Margaret, born in 1933 and 1934 respectively. They were in school together, class of 1951. They are both long gone.

Fire in Town of Wright, Schoharie Cty, NY -Carl Stolzenburg.

Sad to hear this news from my sister. Not sure what happened to start the fire. Carl?s family took over the farm that was once the Leonard Zimmer farm where my maternal grandmother was born and raised on Zimmer Hill, just outside of Gallupville. My grandparents knew the Stolzenburgs well...
