    Not a bad idea to put some assembly lube in the pump for start-up. Quite a few engine builders do that.

    Your bearing clearances have likely opened up a bit due to running without oil pressure. Those readings, if at idle, are acceptable. You need to test at idle to get the overall picture, both cold and operating temperature. Also the viscosity of oil makes a difference too. Oil pumps are...

    Hook the DVOM up to read voltage at the coil and wiggle the ignition switch around to see if voltage is affected. If it is I would replace the switch with an auto parts ignition switch. Pricey, but worth it.

    What to do about a neighbor

    Only loan him impact sockets. If he wants a 3/4, loan him an 11/16, 3/4 and a 13/16 to cover the bases. I write it down when my neighbor leaves so I don't forget. Give it a quick look over when he returns them. You may need your neighbor in the future.

    Plow Questions

    Only you can decide if it's worth it. Seat time to me is therapy. Last summer I was paid to run a tractor and gang mower for a golf course and I loved it. I can't address the quality of the plow, but around here they are a little less like $275.00. I wish you the best of luck trying to stuff...
