New to me 800 cyclo planter

Got to looking at it a little more tonight and it does have the oil cooler you're talking about but it's not hooked up either currently. I took a picture of the hydraulic motor from the rear of the planter. I would assume left side as it travels is the out from the motor that would then go to...

New to me 800 cyclo planter

This is the valve for the markers, I assume the alternating like you mentioned. Plumbing together will simplify things some [code:1:2fda208047][/code:1:2fda208047]

These are the 2 lines currently going to the fan, it doesn't have an oil tank on it currently. Pump was included but not plumbed for it yet.

New to me 800 cyclo planter

Just purchased a 800 cyclo at an auction and am looking for a little insight on it. It's currently set up as an 8 row 15" and my best guess is it was an 8 row 30 that someone changed around. Going to use our 706 to run it is my plan. It appears the previous owner had it running the pump off...

    Farmall 230 charging issue

Also just tried grounding field out with the lights on and voltage does NOT climb. That to me says yes the generator is charging but not putting out enough amps

    Farmall 230 charging issue

This morning I loosened and retightened the fan belt, retightened the generator belt, removed regulator, sanded mounting surfaces again and put it back on, start the tractor with same results. Letting in run for a while it will get around 7 volts. Flip the lights on and it goes down. Left lights...

    Farmall 230 charging issue

I worded that incorrectly I jump the wire at the regulator to polarize the generator. It is still the 6v positive ground system. Wiring is as follows. Negative from starter terminal goes to ammeter. From ammeter to the battery terminal on regulator. F on regulator to f on generator. Gen on...

    Farmall 230 charging issue

Over the winter had our 230 apart fixing a few odds and ends, painted it and am now in the home stretch. Currently having issue with it charging. I have replaced the wiring on the tractor as it was pieced together, the regulator is new and generator was checked out locally and was said to be...

    230 repaint question

I never noticed prior to this when I was looking at pictures online about where to paint and everyone I saw had a recess in it. That's my plan to tape off the block when I do the red. Makes me wonder what happened back in the day. Thanks for all the info guys!

    230 repaint question

The tractor serial number is 1289 I had thought about it being a different hood from an earlier tractor. It has the 230 emblems and has had for a while

    230 repaint question

Yup that 230 is the same as every picture I've found online however ours is a completely smooth hood no recess. I'll try to get a pic up of it.

    230 repaint question

Been working on fixing up our 230 that my grandpa bought in the 60's. For as long as I can remember its been the rust and faded yellow color. Getting ready to paint it and have a question about the white on the side of the hood. Every picture I see has a recessed hood where it is painted where...

    806 pto issue

The splines do show a little wear, nothing too terrible tho. On the clutch end it shows minimal wear as well but the rivets holding the hub is loose. I going to pull the Pto off the rear and look at that while I have it in the shop. I assume it has some sort of sleeve coupler in there that it...

    806 pto issue

Last summer we were using the 806 to run the rotary mower and when we would get into some heavy stuff, the motor wouldn't bog, instead got a loud grinding noise from in the belly. Talked to a few local guys and they talked like some teeth would be wore off the main drive in the center section...
